Shiba-Zakura
Shiba-zakura (Phlox subulata) are a perennial species of phlox belonging to the Polemoniaceae family. From April to May, they can bloom small flowers with a diameter of around 1.5cm in colors that include red, peach, white, and purple.In North America, its place of origin, it is referred to as moss phlox.It is said to have gotten its Japanese name from its similarity in flower shape to the cherry blossom, and in strong creeping and ground-covering properties to grass.

RAINBOW FLOWER FESTIVAL
An event that we at Fuji Motosuko Resort, organizers of the annual Mount Fuji Shiba-Zakura Festival, hold for you to enjoy Mount Fuji alongside flowers in the summertime. From the yellow, red, pink, and orange zinnias to the contrast of Rudbeckias’ golden yellow petals and green pistils—fifteen types of flowers fill the foot of Mount Fuji with color.
